The Gospel is Urgent
because there are DEADLINES.
#1: A Personal Deadline (aka Death)
#2: Judgement Day
#1: A Personal Deadline - Death
- To spend eternity with God in Heaven, people must choose to reconcile with God before they die on earth.
- People who die on earth before deciding to reconcile spend eternity separated from God in Hell.
- Because people do not know the exact day they will die, making a choice is URGENT.
Most people do not like to talk about death and dying. Just mentioning the topic can make some uncomfortable or even anxious. The reality is that our bodies succumb to various disorders and disease processes, get involved in accidents, or just plain wear out.
Death is inevitable. After a person dies, the body is typically buried or cremated. Yet,
- Many people continue to wonder what will happen to them when they die.
- Do we instinctively know part of ourselves continues to live beyond the death of the physical body?
The Bible, which we have already learned has been scientifically authenticated, says YES!
"the dust returns to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it."
and the spirit returns to God who gave it."
In fact, Ecclesiastes Chapter 12 describes in detail the decline of our physical bodies as we age. It starts with, "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach". It goes on to describe how our sight and hearing dull and falter, we become less steady on our feet, our hair greys, and much more. The description concludes with, "Then people go to their eternal home and mourners go about the streets ... and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it."

Prophecy: A Foretelling of What is to Come
Approximately 27% of the Bible is prophecy or a foretelling of future events. The books of Revelation, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Daniel all provide significant foretellings of the End Times events. The short video below will give you a quick understanding of critical prophecies unique to our current day experiences.

The Nation of Israel Returns (1948)
6 Bible Prophecies Fulfilled by
Israel that Defy Explanation (5:27) Learn about the six prophecies fulfilled relating to and including the return of Israel as a nation in 1948, on its original land, after an absence of around 1900 years. Statistically unprecidented! |
Rebuilding Israel's 3rd Temple (Planning Now!)
What preparations are being made to
rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem? (5:49) Here is an update on the planning and progress of Jerusalem's prophesied Third Temple, which is to be in existence during the Tribulation. Reference the Timeline on this page to see when the Temple is descecrated. |
Thought to Ponder: Still not sure all this stuff can be true? Calculate the statistical likelihood of multiple prophecies written by multiple people during the 6th century BC and 1st century AD concerning a specific building that did not yet exist located in a country that ceased to exist in 70AD and reappeared in 1948AD and the specific building is to be located at the exact spot of its predecessor, which was destroyed in 70AD. Add into your calculation that the Islamic Rock of the Dome built in 691 AD currently occupies the exact location the specific building is to be built on and yet plans are currently in progress for the construction and adornment of the specific building.
The statistical likelihood is so astronomical that no one would even make this up as a movie plot. YET, IT IS HAPPENING - RIGHT NOW!
Prophecies about the Third Temple can be found here: Dan. 9:27, Dan. 12:11, Mat. 24:15, 2 Th. 2:4, Rev. 11:1+

What Happens on Judgement Day?
Jesus gives a preview of Judgement Day in His Parable of the Sheep and the Goats
Singer Keith Green puts The Parable of The Sheep and the Goats to music in a humorous yet sobering song.
NOTE: Keith Green's last sentence in the video is NOT suggesting that you need to work your way into Heaven with good deeds. It simply rephrases Jesus' words to highlight Matthew 25:45 , "Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’" Jesus is referring to True versus False Disciples, which He also mentions in Matthew 7:21: "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." To learn about True and False Disciples, visit the Disciples page on this website.
Jesus' Parable of the Sheep and the Goats
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ "He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

8 Major Signs of the End of Times
"False Teachers
2 Peter 2:1-3
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."
War and Natural Disasters
Matthew 24:7
"Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places."
The Moon Will Become Blood Red
Acts 2:20
"The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord."
Blasphemy
2 Timothy 3:1-2
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,"
The name of Jesus Christ is used as a curse word. Why?
People will be caught off guard
Luke 17:28-30
"It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed."
Matthew 24:37-39
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
"Christians" who do not follow Christ
2 Timothy 3:5
"having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."
How many people do you know who say they are Christians but do not live life following Jesus. Are you a Christian? Do you really follow Christ in the way you live your daily life?
What kind of movies do you watch?
What kind of music do you listen to?
What types of books do you read?
Would you be comfortable having Jesus tag along for a day in your life?
If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
Denial that God created everything and also say the Great Flood never happened
2 Peter 3:3-6
"Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed."
THOUGHTS TO PONDER: Earth is 70% covered in water. Where did all the water come from? Scientist theorize Earth's water came from comets. Scientists have proven water does not dissipate - the amount of water stays constant ... it evaporates into the sky and comes back down as rain. How many comets needed to land on earth to cover it in 70% water. Where did the 28,0000 species of fish come from? Where they on the comets? Do you think the world being 70% covered with water is s strong clue they Great Flood of Noah really happened. If all the ice on earth melted and all the clouds come down as rain, would the entire earth be underwater? The science of Climate Change thinks so. Sky stores trilloin of gallons of water
Noah's Ark: All the animinals couldn 6.5 million specieis. All of a kind ... only thousands of animals, not millions. And they were probly young animals able to reproduce. So only one kind of dog not every breed of dog.
Many will claim to be the Messiah/Jesus
Luke 21:8
“Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near."
